Named with the meaning "open free & ready," the store has been managed by the siblings Alexandre Thumerelle (older brother) and Marie (younger sister) since 1996, directing artists and managing the store. Before opening 0fr. in the Marais, which is at the heart of Parisian trends, they had opened as many as 200 bookstores and art galleries around the world. Many people from all over the world visit 0fr. Paris, seeking the stacks of books and the scent inside the store.
