0fr. is an established bookshop gallery located in the North Marais district of Paris, France. Starting in 1996 as a free magazine called 0fr (referencing the currency "0 francs" at the time), it adopted the name "0fr (open free and ready)" when its current bookshop opened in 1998, reflecting its unusual policy in France of being open 365 days a year, 7 days a week. Siblings Alexandre and Marie manage the store and direct artists, and since opening in the heart of Paris's trendy Marais district, they have launched over 200 publications and bookshops and galleries worldwide. People from all over the world visit, drawn by the piled-up art books, the store's aroma, and a desire for Parisian intelligence. Virgil Abloh frequently visited during Fashion Week, and at the KENZO 23-24AW runway show, Tyler, The Creator, seeing an interviewer's 0fr cap, spontaneously commented, "Oh, I love the bookstore!" From book signings by Sofia Coppola, Raf Simons, and Juergen Teller to a sauna rider event for the BLESS 25th anniversary book launch, it is a Parisian sanctuary that has continually woven together top designers, world-renowned artists, and Parisian intelligence.
