"Locations, New York" is a collection of photographs taken by Giasco Bertoli in 2014, just before Instagram dramatically changed how we "see" and "share." During a short stay in New York, Bertoli revisited locations that symbolize the golden age of cinema—places remembered from the works of Scorsese, Gray, and Hitchcock. His aim was not to recreate famous scenes, but to capture what was left behind after the camera had moved on.
What he portrays is not an homage to film or architecture, but a gaze upon "absence." These are places that once served as backdrops for films, now left blank. On the eerily silent streets, traces of memory and desire drift, suspended between fiction and reality, like ghosts.
As Philippe Azoury writes, Bertoli's photographs return to the origins of American street photography, revealing the city as both "subject" and "witness." And there, the subtle, lingering jealousy between cinema and photography is laid bare.

As a general rule, we do not accept product returns. In the unlikely event that you receive a defective product or an incorrect item, please contact us first via Instagram DM or email. The return period for defective products is within 7 days of product arrival. In the case of exchanges for defective products or incorrect items, we will bear the shipping costs. In the case of returns due to customer convenience, the customer will bear the shipping costs.
