The latest issue of Milan-based culture magazine Lampoon. Lampoon Issue 33, “MECCANO,” is a print publication organized around the conceptual themes of systems, machines, and human cognition under technological pressure. The issue explores the relationship between artificial intelligence, labor, and cultural production, positioning “thought itself” as an act of resistance in an environment where attention is increasingly optimized and simplified. The editorial framework is composed of contributions that cut across architecture, art, theory, and performance. Key topics include the algorithmic impact on information, diagrammatic thinking as a political and visual tool, and the transformation of authorship in machine-assisted creation. Multilayered references are unfolded, from theoretical perspectives to practical design, photography, and physical expression.
