Singaporean filmmaker Eric Khoo directed "Yokai le monde des esprits (Yokai: The World of Spirits)" in Takasaki, starring "French legend" Catherine Deneuve, Masatoshi Sakai, Yutaka Takenouchi, and Jun Fubuki. The story follows French singer Claire (played by Deneuve), who, having lost her daughter and pet, has no passion left for life. After her performance in Japan, she collapses while drinking alone at an izakaya and passes away. Her soul then leaves her body and wanders through Japan. The film explores universal themes such as understanding Japanese values concerning the soul, and feelings of grief, bonds, loneliness, and regret.

"SPIRIT WORLD MEMORIES" by Laurent Champoussin is more than just a travel diary; it’s an opportunity for a delicate and poetic experience behind the scenes of the film's production. Returns
