A collection of works by Norwegian photographer Torbjørn Rødland. He explores one of the principles underlying his approach to photography, that the concept and meaning of "model" is full of possibilities. The author is extraordinarily sensitive to the fact that we see the world through the myriad filters that define our relationship to people, things, and images. Since the mid-1990s, he has been searching for works that break through the surface of postmodernism in order to redefine the possibilities of mutual connection. By using images that are sensual and intellectually appealing, he tries to draw out the swirling thoughts and emotions of the subconscious. In this book, various photographic genres and approaches are mixed, and it is the Poles who combine all the components: critical appropriation, diary snapshots, reportage, commercial photography, staged photography. The iconic face of actress and fashion model Margosia Bella. A collection of photographs of Margosia Bela taken over a decade in Los Angeles, New York, Paris, London, Warsaw, Oslo, Lofoten Islands, etc. “You can see her interacting with photographs, interacting with each other, becoming photographs, and existing as photographs,” says the artist. Every image in this work, an experiment in photographic language and symbols, evokes feelings that are difficult to describe as alienation or intimacy. Based on this, it can be said that this work is a love letter to both the medium of expression, which is photography, and the woman who has become the medium.
